My Vision for SACS

As a bona fide student of St. Alexis Center of Studies, I am hoping for more educational improvements that would make the institution an edifice of learning and values transformation. In 10 years, I can see the SACS will become a leading international catholic university (not anymore affiliated) offering degree courses like Philosophy and Theology for seminarians and lay people around the globe. Progress and innovation will be felt in every corner of the building. At the school façade, there will be a beautifully and artistically landscaped botanical garden and mini-park where the students can comfortably spend their leisure time in fun reading, doing their assignments and thesis, chatting with each other, listening to soothing and relaxing sound of nature, etc. Along the pathway going to the entrance of the school, there you will see a human size monument of St. Alexis Falconieri in the left side and opposite of it will be the Marian cave with the attention-captivating water fountains giving us the glimpses of Singapore. As you enter the school structure, you will notice the two robust, gentle and friendly safety officers, in their neat and dignified uniform, standing in both sides of the main door.

Furthermore, the students and teachers will be free to use the elevators that end in the 12th floor of the building or stroll in the stairways. The school will apply the advancement of science and technology in upgrading the quality of education it offers. Consequently, almost everything will be computerized. All the doors will have sensory system devices and every student or mentor will be assigned with a personal security code in order to access the school properties like touch screen computers, sound system, TVs, and other high-tech gadgets. Moreover, the school will own private buses and vans that will be used for educational tour, monthly outing, inter-school academic and non-academic competitions and other outside school activities.  As an international university, SACS will also offer courses related to language studies. The professors and students will be coming from different countries, thus, creating a milieu of varied personalities and mix of cultures. There will be a systematized and strict screening process for those who would like to be part of the school in order to ensure that every Alexian has passed the high standard of SACS. English will be the official language. Nonetheless, the use of other languages like Spanish, French, Italian, Filipino, etc. will be allowed outside the school premises for casual conversations.

The school will be active not only in its academic affairs but also in spiritual and political matters. Various clubs will be organized with the guidance, support and supervision of the school administrators and the adept and well-versed college professors. Hopefully, my vision for St. Alexis Center of Studies will not remain as a dream but something that could be realized through the grace of the generous God and the collective efforts of the people who aspire for the success of the said institution.
